Training Tip Tuesday Sept/Oct 2020

Training Tip #39 (October 27th 2020)

Use a log to chart what workouts feel good and what doesn't so you can see where you need extra work and make adjustments.

- Adam Kelinson, Triathlete & Sports Nutritionist

Training Tip #38 (October 13th 2020)

Be flexible in your workouts! If it's a really hot day, you can choose to swim instead of run. Or if time is short, you can do cross training, which is great for total-body strengthening. Don't let bad weather or a closed gym derail your plans.

- Sharon McCobb, Pro Triathlete

Training Tip #37 (September 29th 2020)

Find a training plan that meets your time constraints and race needs. You can get a quality workout in a short period of time without sacrificing your whole day.

- Meredith Kessler, Pro Triathlete

Training Tip #36 (September 15th 2020)

Technique is one of those aspects that’s very hard to change once you get a bit older, but in a sport like triathlon it’s crucial to operate with efficient technique otherwise you’re giving too much away. It’s worth spending time on it; short and long term you’re likely to improve faster by becoming more efficient than you are carrying on with the same old training program.

- Will Clarke, former U23 World and European Champion

Training Tip #35 (September 1st 2020)

Invest in some running — or cycling-specific — sunglasses. They can keep flies out of your eyes, sharpen your vision in low light conditions and block road glare.
