Triathlon Alberta Statement on the 2020 event season

Triathlon Alberta would like to thank the triathlon and multisport community for their ongoing patience and corporation during this turbulent time. Triathlon Alberta has made the difficult decision that due to the current state of the pandemic in Alberta, having considered the AHS guidelines as they would practically apply to Triathlon in Alberta in 2020, and having considered the risk to the sport of Triathlon, Triathlon Alberta’s members, volunteers, officials, spectators, and the community at large in which the events take part in, that under the circumstances, Triathlon Alberta has resolved that we are not in a position to sanction triathlon events for the balance of the 2020 event season. We are working with all stakeholders to build out the 2021 race calendar to bring the best racing at home experience next year and we appreciate everyone’s kindness and patience towards our event organizers as we move through these challenging times.
