Board of Directors Feature - Laura Duff

Laura Duff who is based in Stony Plain, AB has been the President of our organization for the last several years.

How I got into triathlon: I grew up playing hockey but after too many concussions I had to quit contact sports. After falling in love with running a friend suggested I try a triathlon. I didn’t even know what a triathlon was (April 2016) and then a year later I completed my first Ironman (August 2017). 

Goal: I’d like to complete 5 full Ironman races. I’ve completed 4 to date (2017, 2018, 2x2019). 

Ironman’s I’ve completed: Whistler 2017, Arizona 2018, Mont Tremblant 2019, Cozumel 2019. 

Fun fact: In 2019 I eloped between Mont Tremblant and Cozumel. Going to Cozumel was a 2 for 1 vacation: Ironman & Honeymoon.
