Triathlon Alberta announces new Race Director Assistance Grant

Edmonton, Alberta - Triathlon Alberta, the recognized Provincial governing body for Triathlon and Multisport in Alberta, is pleased to announce the establishment of its first grant opportunity within its newly established Sport Development Grant Program, the Race Director Assistance Grant.  

Triathlon Alberta's Sport Development Grant Program is focused on the impact that the grants will have at the Active Start, Fundamentals, Learning to Train, Training to Train and Training to Compete stages within the Sport for Life's Long Term Athlete Development framework within the triathlon and multisport community in Alberta. 

The Race Director Assistance Grant will be able to help Race Directors with financial assistance for professional development opportunities, such as certification courses, seminars and conferences. "Race Directors are an essential part of our Triathlon Alberta Family, along with our athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers," said Winston To, Executive Director of Triathlon Alberta. "Having this grant opportunity for our Race Directors will ensure that we will continue to have sanctioned triathlon and multisport events within our province that will provide participants with the best athlete experience."
