Race YOUR Race at the 10 Mile Tri

On Saturday, March 1, 2025, the city of Calgary will come alive with the excitement of the 11th annual 10 Mile Tri, a short-distance triathlon race presented by 3433 Sport Performance. This event is a fantastic opportunity for Calgarians of all abilities to dive into the thrilling world of triathlon, whether they are seasoned athletes or newcomers eager to kick off their 2025 race season.

The 10 Mile Tri promises to deliver the most exhilarating format for triathlon racing you have ever seen. The event is designed to be inclusive and flexible, allowing participants to push their limits or simply enjoy the experience at their own pace.

SWIM: The race begins with a swim in a 25m pool, where participants will start in waves of 24 swimmers. Each swimmer has 15 minutes to cover as much distance as they can, whether it's 2 laps or 30. The choice is entirely up to them, making it a unique and personalized challenge.

BIKE: After the swim, participants have 10 minutes to transition to the TechnoSPIN Studio. Here, they will hop on a stationary bike for the second leg of the race. In another 15-minute segment, athletes will see how far they can ride, with the intensity of the ride being completely up to them.

RUN: The final leg of the triathlon takes place on a 200m track. After a 10-minute transition period, participants will lace up their running shoes and hit the track, running as many laps as they can in 15 minutes. This segment, like the others, allows for a personalized approach, catering to each athlete's comfort and ambition.

The event will run from 1pm to 6pm, providing ample time for all participants to complete their race and celebrate their achievements. Whether you're aiming to set a personal best or simply enjoy the camaraderie and spirit of the event, the 10 Mile Tri is the perfect way to start your 2025 race season.

"The 10-Mile Tri is the biggest event on the winter calendar. Having this event on the winter calendar over the last three years has been such a great addition, giving athletes new athletes to the sport a great short-distance triathlon event while for the seasoned athletes it gives a chance to break up the monotony of winter training and test the legs out prior to the summer season". said Sebastian Porten, Executive Director of Triathlon Alberta.

In addition to the race, participants and spectators can enjoy FitFest, an included event featuring various exhibitors showcasing products, services, and resources related to health, wellness, and fitness. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase products, connect with industry experts, and learn about the latest offerings in the fitness world.

Join us for a day of fun, fitness, and community spirit. The 11th annual 10 Mile Tri is more than just a race; it's an opportunity to challenge yourself, meet new people, and experience the joy of triathlon in a supportive and exciting environment. Don't miss out on this incredible event – see you at the starting line!
