Triathlon Alberta Team Selected for 2019 Western Canada Summer Games

EDMONTON, Alberta — On Monday, Triathlon Alberta selected the 12 athletes and 2 alternates that will represent Team Alberta in triathlon at the 2019 Western Canada Summer Games. The team is led by Head Coach Lisa Mensink (Calgary, Kronos Triathlon Club) and Team Manager Kyle Jensen (Calgary, Kronos Triathlon Club).

The athletes earned their spots at the 2019 Calgary Kids of Steel and Western Canada Summer Games Qualifier, which took place on June 23 at Brookfield Residential YMCA at Seton in Calgary, Alberta.

The City of Swift Current will host the 2019 Western Canada Summer Games from August 9 to 18, 2019. Featuring 16 sports, over 20 venues, and a range of cultural performances and programs, the Games will be the largest event to ever take place in the region. Over 1,700 athletes, coaches, officials and mission staff from Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, Yukon, and Nunavut will participate in the 10 days of competition.
